Youth Deer Weekend gives kids a chance to hunt

The Associated Press

CONCORD (AP) — Youth Deer Weekend is wrapping up for hunters age 15 or younger in New Hampshire.

The event, which ends Sunday, gives children a chance to take a deer while accompanied by an experienced adult hunter.

Young people get a chance to learn deer hunting techniques and traditions, as well as gain other outdoor skills.

Adults accompanying the children must be at least 18 and hold a valid New Hampshire hunting license.
