World War II veterans honored with Congressional Gold Medal at event in Londonderry
LONDONDERRY - The aviation museum of New Hampshire was filled with World War II veterans and their families to honor members of the Civil Air Patrol.
Several New Hampshire residents were a part of the World War II program. Today those Cvivil Air Patrol members we're awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, the nation's highest civilian honor, for their volunteer services.
Both Governor Maggie Hassan and Senator Jeanne Shaheen were in attendance and handed out the medals.
