Watching People Break Limbs and Tear Ligaments Chasing Cheese Down a Hill is Fun
There are some strange events that occur around the world.
For example, the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. It seems a bit strange that so many people would put themselves in a situation where they could die, or at the very least injure themselves.
There is an event near Gloucester, England, called Cooper's Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake that occurs on the Spring Bank Holiday.
Over the weekend, people gather from all over the world to chase a wheel of cheese down a steep hill running at full speed. As you can imagine, they don’t get very far before completely losing it and fall the rest of the way down the hill with the goal being to be the first one to the cheese wheel.
The first one there wins! There have been plenty of injuries over the years but there are medics, volunteers and ambulances on hand in case anyone needs to be hospitalized.
It looks dangerous but it’s hilarious to watch!
