Woman thrown from Jeep during crash in Hudson suffers serious injuries
HUDSON — A woman had to be taken to the hospital after being ejected from a vehicle that she was a passenger in.
Around 10:18 p.m. Saturday, police and fire crews responded to the area of Route 11 near Sullivan Road for reports of a single-vehicle crash.
A 2006 Jeep Wrangler with a male driver and female passenger was travelling east on Route 111 when another vehicle that was travelling west on Route 111 made a left turn onto Sullivan Road in front of the Jeep, police said. The driver of the Jeep performed a maneuver to avoid hitting the other vehicle, and during that time the female passenger fell out of the Jeep, police said.
She was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Route 111 in the area of Sullivan Road was shut down for several hours while the Hudson Crash Investigation Team investigated the crash.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors but the crash remains under investigation, police said.
