Woman overdosing on opiates receives Narcan, CPR from friend


LACONIA – Fire officials in Laconia say a young woman who was reported to be overdosing on opiates survived after her friend dialed 911, administered Narcan and performed CPR at about 6:45 a.m. Friday.

Authorities say the friend received the free Narcan dose earlier in the week from the give-away in Laconia.

A press conference has been scheduled at the Laconia Central Fire Station’s 848 North Main St. address at 1 p.m. with more details.
