Woman facing crack-cocaine charges after reports of suspicious activity in Manchester
MANCHESTER — A woman was arrested on crack-cocaine possession charges after suspicious activity was reported behind the Mammoth Road Rite-Aid at about 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
An officer said he approached a green pick-up truck, where he found two women in front seats. The driver, Carl Albright, 52, was speaking with the officer when the passenger, Tausha Ames, 37, allegedly seemed to be acting suspicious, police say. Both people were asked to get out of the truck.
A metal spool and several small, white rocks that were believed to be crack cocaine was found on the passenger side floor board, according to the officer.
Ames was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (crack cocaine) and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
