Woman, daughter, dog found after getting lost in Pisgah State Park, Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD — New Hampshire Fish & Game found a woman, her daughter and their dog who had gotten lost on the trails of Pisgah State Park in Chesterfield.

Rescuers found the group on the Reservoir Trail near North Ponds Trail using GPS coordinates from the 911 call.

The group started hiking at 3:45 p.m. at the Horseshoe Road parking lot, and planned to travel a loop before returning to their vehicle.

The group got lost due to a combination of the lack of a map, darkness and torrential rain.

Fish & Game officials remind the public to use preparation and caution even on the shortest of hikes.
