Woman charged with DUI after driving the wrong way on I-93 in Canterbury


CANTERBURY - A woman was arrested for drunken driving after police said she was driving the wrong way on Interstate 93 last night.

Jessica Powers, 41, of Townsend Mass., was arrested just north of exit 17, near Canterbury, after several calls were made to the police at around 8 p.m.

Powers was driving a 2010 red Mazda 3, southbound.

According to police, subsequent testing showed Powers had a blood alcohol content of .29, which is almost four times the legal driving limit of .08.

She was processed for driving under the influence.
