Woman carried out of White Mountain National Forest after injuring knee

ALBANY, N.H. - Rescuers carried a 62-year-old woman out from the Champney Falls Trail on Mt. Chocorua in the White Mountain National Forest on Saturday afternoon.

Noreen Cohen, of Ayer, Mass., was hiking down the trail when she slipped an injured her knee. Cohen was unable to bear weight. A member of United States Forest Service arrived and called for assistance.

Cohen was stabilized and carried down the trail by rescuers.

Rescuers from Fish and Game, Conway Fire, USFS and SOLO responded.
