Woman arrested in Pelham DWI crash that took out pole, shut down road for 8 hours
PELHAM - A Lowell, Mass., woman is charged with drunken driving after her car struck a telephone pole, forcing the shutdown of a portion of Mammoth Road for eight hours, police said.
Sandra Wood, 29, was traveling southbound on Mammoth Road at about 11:03 p.m. when police said she lost control of her 2012 Toyota RAV4. The car crossed the double line and struck the telephone pole on the opposite side of the road. Wood was not injured in the crash.
