Woman arrested in NH after found unresponsive, slumped over steering wheel

MERRIMACK — A New Hampshire woman was arrested early Saturday morning after she was found slumped over and unresponsive in her vehicle.

Police said that at about 1:52 a.m. officers responded to Whitney Street to a report of an unresponsive woman in her vehicle. Upon arrival, police discovered Lisa Scali, 46, of Merrimack, slumped over the steering wheel of her car, police said.

Police were able to awaken Scali and noted that she showed signs of impairment, police said. A brief investigation led to her being charged and arrested for operating under the influence of an intoxicating liquor.

Scali was taken to the Merrimack Police Department and was placed on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. She is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack district court on Thursday.
