Woman arrested after Northumberland police find 'significant' amount of heroin, other drugs in apartment


GROVETON -A woman is facing several drug charges after police found a "significant" amount of heroin in her apartment.

Drugs were confiscated from the apartment at 10 Summer St. on Monday after Northumberland Police found cocaine and marijuana along with the heroin after obtaining a search warrant.

Officers also found drug paraphernalia.

Kelsie Ordway is charged with two B felony counts of possession of a controlled drug for the heroin and cocaine, and a B misdemeanor charge for the marijuana. She was taken to the Grafton County House of Corrections by the Coos County Sherriff's Department on $10,000 bail.

She was scheduled to be arraigned in the 1st Circuit Lancaster District Court on Tuesday.

Todd Lachance was also arrested following the search.

Police say Lachance had a syringe full of suboxone. He was charged with one count of B felony possession of a controlled narcotic.

He is scheduled with the 1st Circuit Lancaster District Court for June 29.
