WMUR employee suspended after arrest on 6 charges of owning child porn
EAST KINGSTON — Police arrested a 44-year-old man on chargers of six counts of possessing images of child abuse.
Christopher Murphy of 66 Willow Road is being held without bail, and has an arraignment scheduled for Thursday.
WMUR has reported that Murphy works in the sales department for their station.
“Chris Murphy has been suspended pending the outcome of the case,” Jeff Bartlett, WMUR President and General Manager, wrote in a statement.
The arrest was the result of a joint investigation between the East Kingston Police Department, and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force.
Hudson, Portsmouth, Salem, Mont Vernon and Hampton police forces participated with the ICAC task force.
It is possible that Murphy will face more charges as a result of this investigation.
