Windham police investigate possible threat planned for middle school

WINDHAM - Police said that two students found a written threat on a bathroom wall at the middle school on Wednesday.

“We’re investigating it fully, we have a detective on it," said Captain Mike Caron of the Windham Police Department.

Some accused the police of not taking the threat seriously enough.

"You know we searched the school yesterday and we’ll check it but no we are not downplaying it by any means,” Caron said.

The threat said that on March 30, a bomb would go off in school. Officers have stepped up their presence at the middle school.

Police told NH1 News there is no evidence that the threat is credible at this time but they will monitor social media accounts of students and analyze the handwriting to see if they can find out who is behind it.

Anyone with information is asked to call Windham police at 603-434 5577.
