Wind Chill Advisory and Warning for NH Wednesday Night into Thursday Morning


The National Weather Service in Gray has issued Wind Chill Warnings and Wind Chill Advisories in effect from 5 p.m. Wednesday until 10 a.m. Thursday. The warning is for Cheshire, Sullivan, Grafton, Carroll, and Coos Counties while the Advisory is for Merrimack, Belknap, Strafford, Rockingham, and Hillsborough Counties.

NH1 Chief Meteorologist Clayton Stiver expects wind chills Wednesday Night into Thursday Morning anywhere between -25 and -45 for the Warning area and between -20 and -30 for the Advisory area.

Extremely cold wind chills can cause frost bite very quickly. Skin can freeze in minutes if exposed to wind chill values colder than -30. NH can expect to see winds blow 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph Wednesday Night into Thursday Morning.
