Wihby's position with Manchester School Board still up in the air
MANCHESTER - A school board member arrested Friday in a Nashua prostitution sting still remains on the board.
Ten men were arrested in Nashua on Friday on charges of prostitution and related offenses.
Former Sen. Kelly Ayotte senior staffer David Wihby was one of those men.
Ayotte's office accepted Wihby's resignation but there is no word on if he also will resign from his position as the vice chairman of the Manchester School Board. The school district's website still lists him as an at-large member.
Several of the other active board committee members did not return our requests for comment; however, one board member said they recalled only one other time where a board member needed to be replaced.
She explained that it was a two-step process where the aldermen selected a candidate, and then the committee voted on the potential candidate.
Mayor Ted Gatsas' office also declined to comment as to what steps they will take with Wihby.
