White House put on lockdown Saturday after sniffer dog finds vehicle suspicious
White House security put the building on lockdown after a fire outside the building.
The Secret Service also said a sniffer dog alerted security on a vehicle near the mansion grounds.
The lockdown was put into effect about 10 a.m., according to the Secret Service.
This all occurred before President Obama was set to leave for Selma, Ala., to make a speech for the 50th anniversary of "Bloody Sunday," a landmark event of the civil rights movement.
