Whirlpool recalls 15,000 microwave-hood combinations that catch fire

Whirlpool is recalling around 15,000 microwave hood combinations because a component can ignite during use and cause a fire hazard.

Five incidents have been reported, but no one has been injured.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled microwaves. Unplug the units and contact the company for a free replacement product.
