MANCHESTER — Police arrested a man Friday night after officers allegedly found him naked and high on synthetic marijuana near a public park.
Manchester police responded to a call of a naked man sitting on a wall adjacent to the sidewalk near Kalivas Park about 11:40 p.m. An officer saw a man, later identified as Mefen Rowell, 28, of Manchester, walking across Pine Street toward Mike's Pub and Grub.
The officer positioned his cruiser on Union Street as the man approached him from the alley. The man stopped to put his pants on before he turned around to walk in the opposite direction toward Pine Street, police said. The officer caught up with him on Pine Street.
Police said that Lamy was able to determine Rowell was under the influence of spice, a common street name for the manufactured marijuana-like drug. AMR Ambulance responded to assist police and Rowell.
Rowell was charged with indecent exposure and resisting arrest/detention and is scheduled for arraignment Monday in Manchester district court.
