Weekend Storm to Bring More Snow to NH
Tricky forecast for the weekend. Some light snow and sleet look to overspread NH between 8am and 11am Saturday. During the afternoon, from the Lakes Region and points south, it appears temps climb above freezing and the combination of that with warmer air aloft will allow for a change over to rain. North of the Lakes Region, things should stay mostly snow. Any snow/sleet accumulation during Saturday daytime looks to be an inch or less.
For Saturday Night, colder air building in will allow for folks seeing rain to change back to snow, although at that point, the more substantial snowfall may be across the Mountains and Great North Woods. Roads may become much more slippery Saturday Overnight especially for the North Country. As we progress through Sunday, light snow and snow showers will continue for much of the state which could lead to a few inches of additional accumulation.
For expected snowfall totals, at this time, I think folks south of the Lakes Region will fall in the range of 1"-3" For the Lakes through the Upper Valley 3"-6" The Mountains and Great North Woods, 6"-8" with isolated higher totals. Ice accumulation looks to be less than 0.10" This forecast is still very much subject to change so stay tuned.
