CONCORD — Looking for a civilized solution to a wildlife problem? Residents of 13 eastern states and the District of Columbia have a new online resource.

The site — wildlifehelp.org — was created by the Northeast Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and the Northeast Wildlife Damage Management Cooperative.

Users can select a species and problem, such as "How to trap a problem opossum," and get solutions. In that case, the site says opossums generally are relatively easy trap in a box or cage traps baited with cat food, fish, fruit or marshmallows.

The website covers species common to the six New England states, plus Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.
