Water tests may cause pressure changes, discolored tap water in Keene
KEENE — Certain residents may see fluctuations in pressure, and changes in water color on Monday while testing is done on the water booster station at Black Brook and Summit Roads.
The streets that should be aware of the test include Forge Street, Wyman Road, Summit Road, Black Brook Road and Bowman Drive, reports the Keene Sentinel.
According to the city's public works department, the work is scheduled to be finished by 3 p.m.
Citizens who see discolored water flowing from their faucets should close off all but one tap, and run cold water for 10 minutes. If the water does not clarify, turn off the tap, wait 30 minutes, and repeat.
If the water still is not clear, call 352-6550. Officials say that people who have discolored laundry from the tests can stop by the office at 350 Marlboro St. for a stain-removal product.
