SALEM - A water main break on Route 28 in front of the old Coca Cola plant closed the road between the Depot and Citizens Bank on Friday night.
Police Sgt. Mark Prescott was at the the scene and reported that the water was shooting 10 feet above the telephone poles, according to comments on Facebook. He also recorded video of the geyser.
Route 28 re-opened by morning but crews continued to work on the water main break during the day Saturday.
