Water leak in Lebanon apartment traced to broken toilet hit by bullets from next door

LEBANON - Here's a case headed right down the drain. Police say they've arrested a man accused of firing off a gun, breaking the toilet in the next apartment and setting off a water leak.

No one was home in that Parkhurst Street apartment, and no one was injured, police say. But Andrew Griffon, 48, of Lebanon has been charged with two counts of reckless conduct and criminal mischief.

Police first responded to the area around 6:30 p.m. when they received reports of shots fired. They traced the source of the shots to Griffon. They then learned water was leaking from an adjoining apartment and realized the leak had been cause by the shots fired.

Griffon was held at the Grafton County jail on $25,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Friday at Lebanon District Court.
