Water advisories put up in NH state beaches

NH1.com

NOTTINGHAM – With the long holiday weekend approaching, some people planning to cool off and take a dip may be disappointed.

The NH Department of Environmental Services put up a water advisory for bacteria at Pawtuckaway State Park Beach.

Signs were put up Tuesday afternoon advising people that high levels of bacteria have been detected and that people should not swim in the water.

Pawtuckaway is not the only place where the water is under advisory. Beach advisories for Ossipee Town Beach and Troy Town Beach were also issued this week.

For a complete list of beach advisories visit www.des.nh.gov.
