BARTLETT – Winter is coming – and Wildcat Mountain is ready! The weekend’s cold weather was perfect for a little October snowmaking.
With temperatures in the 20s, snowmakers were able to produce a hearty amount of fresh powder on the Upper and Upper Middle Lynx trails. Although the mountain is not officially open for the season yet, it is one step closer!
The mountain posted incredible drone footage of the season's first snow!
“It is our full intention to offer top to bottom skiing and riding on all 2000 vertical feet of our mountain," said Wildcat Mountain’s General Manager, Brian Heon.
Last season, Wildcat opened on November 9th, but this year workers are determined to open even earlier. And it couldn’t be a better time! Over the last year, Wildcat Mountain has upgraded its smowmaking machines by replacing over 10 miles of piping and new energy efficient snowmaking guns.
