CONCORD – Donald Trump returns to New Hampshire Tuesday, and his first stop is the NH1 News studios.

The Republican presidential nomination front-runner will appear live on NH1 News on WBIN-TV at 5 p.m. for a half an hour interview on fiscal flash points such as the budget, deficit and debt, tax reform, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, and other economic issues. Trump will also be questioned about some of the controversial comments he’s made over the past couple of weeks.

Those controversies could sink ordinary political candidates, but they appear to strengthen Trump’s support among those that back him. Trump remains far ahead of the rest of the 14-candidate field in the latest polls here in the first-in-the-nation primary state in the race for the GOP nomination. Trump also remains atop the pack in the latest polls in Iowa and South Carolina, the two other early voting states, and in the national public opinion surveys.

Trump’s live interview with NH1 News is part of the Fiscal Friday series, which NH1 News is conducting in partnership with First Budget, the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire (BIA), and the Warren B. Rudman Center. The interview will re-air on WBIN-TV on Friday.

After speaking live with NH1 News, Trump will head to Waterville Valley for a 7 p.m. town hall and rally at the White Mountain Athletic Club.
