WATCH: Surveillance video captures Canterbury Smoke House employees confronting burglar


CANTERBURY — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted robbery at the Smoke House on Monday night.

The suspect entered the Smoke House through the front door wearing a ski mask. He filled a ski bag with merchandise before an employee noticed and approached him. He then assaulted the employee and started to flee the store, police said. The employee grabbed the suspect's shirt and ripped it off before he left the building.

The suspect was described as a white male, under 5-feet-tall with a slightly stocky build. He has tattoos across his shoulder and down one arm.
