WATCH: Sen. Kelly Ayotte talks about Social Security, economy on NH1
U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte is speaking today about the federal government's fiscal challenges as part of "Fiscal Fridays," an exclusive public affairs television series on the NH1 News Network.
Ayotte, a Republican is seeking reelection, will respond to questions about the growing national debt and the fiscal and economic policies she would pursue if re-elected. Key topics are likely to include Social Security, health care, tax reform, national defense and domestic investments. Ayotte was New Hampshire’s attorney general from 2004-09. She currently serves on the Armed Services, Budget, Commerce, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and Small Business and Entrepreneurship committees in the Senate.
Segments of the interview will air Sunday on WBIN-TV, 99.1 NH1 News, and WEMJ 1490 AM. A video of the entire program will be available on NH1.com. "Fiscal Fridays," a project of the Campaign to Fix the Debt, The Concord Coalition and NH1, gives Granite State voters the opportunity to hear candidates for federal office discuss their views on fiscal policy in detail. The series has featured presidential candidates in both parties.
