WATCH: Security cam captures suspect wielding knife at Franklin store clerk during robbery

FRANKLIN - Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed the Shop Express at knife point Monday evening.

According to police, a white male in his mid-20s to early 30s, approximately 6 feet tall and approximately 180 pounds walked into the Central Street store and showed a knife to the clerk while demanding cash.

The suspect then jumped over the counter and opened the cash drawer.

Police believe the suspect fled on foot near Prospect Street.

If anyone has information on the man's identity, they are urged to contact Franklin police.
