WATCH: Plane crashes and catches fire in New England town

HARTFORD, Conn. — A plane crashed in East Hartford, Conn., on Main Street.

The Piper PA34 went down on E. Main Street around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Federal Aviation Administration told Fox25. It was on its way to Hartford-Brainard Airport and had two people on board.

Route 2 is closed for investigation into the accident, Connecticut State Police said. The conditions of the passengers have not been released.

A witness saw the plane fly by his building, and was able to video the plane after it crashed.
