WATCH: Here's why a NH gun shop's owner gave an AR-15 rifle to Trump at a Claremont rally


The owner of the Claremont Black Op Arms gifted a semi-automatic assault rifle to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday at Trump's Claremont rally.

Mark Limoges and his co-owners at Black Op Arms are Trump supporters, and wanted to give the candidate something special to remember his visit to Claremont - but it happened to coincide with President Obama's announcement of his executive action to tighten gun laws. It wasn't intentional.

Limoges said he reached out to Trump's campaign to let them know about the gift. He said the campaign was happy to receive it, but secret service was less excited.

The secret service inspected and picked up the rifle ahead of the rally, then allowed Limoges to present the rifle to Trump in a private meeting ahead of it.

Trump accepted the gift of the custom made Black Op arms semi-automatic 556. Limoges said it's one of his best sellers.

Limoges showed off an exact replica of the rifle at NH1 on Wednesday.
