WATCH: Cellphone footage shows truck dragging car along freeway, fails to stop for 4 miles

CAJON PASS, CA — Cellphone footage from Wednesday captured a tractor trailer dragging a car along a freeway without noticing for about four miles.

According to the San Bernardino Sun, the above video shows Pete Edward Maestas, 62, of Bakersfield driving the truck along the northbound lanes of the 15 Freeway with a Nissan Maxima wedged into the rear of it.

The Nissan reportedly got stuck to the back of the truck after the truck attempted to move into the left lane, where the Nissan was already driving, and the two collided.

Maestas failed to realize for about four miles that the car was stuck to the back of his truck.

Several drivers, including Javier A. Diaz Jr., 34, driver of the wedged Nissan, can be heard honking their horns at the larger vehicle trying to get Maestas to pull over.

“He’s not stopping,” Diaz called out to the man filming the incident.

Officer’s arrived on scene and did not detect any signs of impairment on the truck driver and did a preliminary examination of his log book, which appeared to be in compliance, CHP officials.

Neither driver was transported to a hospital.
