WATCH: Bernie Sanders expected to endorse Hillary Clinton at Portsmouth rally

PORTMOUTH - Bernie Sanders is expected to endorse Hillary Clinton for president in Portsmouth this morning.

Both Gov. Maggie Hassan and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen will be on hand Tuesday at Portsmouth High School, too.

You can watch the rally below.

Word of the joint appearance came after Sanders’s supporters won some key victories Saturday on health care, climate change, and a $15 per hour minimum wage, as the Democratic Party platform was finalized at a major party meeting in Orlando, Florida. Sanders’ supporters were voted down on their bids to include language in the platform rejecting the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership free-trade deal, and to ban fracking.

Kurt Ehrenberg, a top political adviser for Sanders in New Hampshire during the primary campaign and a pledged convention delegate for the senator from Vermont, told NH1 News he expects that Sanders will “say that we ran a great campaign here in New Hampshire, that we accomplished so much in terms of putting forward issues that haven’t been talked about before and electrifying an electorate, particularly younger people and people who’ve been disaffected by the system, and really changing the Democratic Party for the better.”
