WATCH: All eyes on NH: President Obama headlines UNH 'get out the vote' rally for Clinton

DURHAM — It's 9:47 a.m., and in a little under 7 hours the President of the United States will be speaking to a crowd at the University of New Hampshire. It's not the first time it appears all eyes are on NH.

Like many other reporters and photographers, I've been awake since the sun was barely illuminating what remains of the foliage. I've traveled across the state, carried equipment into the Whittemore Center Arena and been bumped from my riser space by someone covering this event with an iPhone and a tripod.

And now, we wait.

This time tomorrow many Americans will have already conquered the long lines and will proudly be wearing their "I voted!" sticker. In about 36 hours, we'll likely know who the next president will be.

President Obama's visit comes on the eve of an election where the stakes are high, and nationally, polls show many races are likely to come down to voter turnout.

New Hampshire has four Electoral College votes that could play a pivotal role in each candidates likelihood of taking over the Oval Office. Independents make up 44 percent of registered voters in the Granite State.

Every vote counts, hence the last minute push by both campaigns.

President Obama will take the stage in Durham, stumping for Hillary Clinton in a "get out the vote" rally. New Hampshire is one of three states he's visiting the day before the election.

Donald Trump has also been hitting the trail hard in New Hampshire. At a rally in Atkinson on Friday, he expressed confidence in his Granite State supporters.

"Whoever wins in New Hampshire is going to win," Trump said. Trump will hold a rally Monday in Manchester.
