The hot weather can leave playground equipment sizzling.
Playground slides can reach temperatures of over 150 degrees which is enough to cause first- or second-degree burns. Even plastic slides can absorb heat.
Slides aren't the only culprit, though.
Fire poles, monkey bars and swings can also reach temperatures that cause serious burns.
Officials say to check out the temperature of the equipment before putting kids at risk.
