KEENE- Cody Yeaw, who was arrested for shooting an Alstead man in January, was formally indicted by a Cheshire County Grand Jury on February 27 for manslaughter.
Yeaw, 25, of Putney, Vermont has pleaded not guilty for shooting Robert Wesley, 57, in his March Hill Road home on January 7.
A New Hampshire State Police investigator says Yeaw told him he had several mixed vodka drinks before he shot Wesley with a handgun. A report by the Keene Sentinel says Yeaw accidentally shot his friend and called police. Yeaw was reportedly living in Wesley's home at the time.
According to the Brattleboro Reformer, Wesley was born in 1959 in Keene, the son of Barbara Wesley (Fredette), who lives in Alstead, and Robert Wesley Sr., who is deceased. Growing up in Westmoreland, he attended Keene High School and was a graduate with the class of 1977. Wesley received a bachelor’s degree in human services from Keene State College. He had lived in Alstead for the past 30 years.
