Video of lawmaker tirade resurfaces in House race

DUQUOIN, Ill. (AP) An Illinois state representative showed little restraint when he took to the floor of the state House in 2012 and unleashed a furious rant against Democrats, complete with hollering, paper-throwing and fist-waving.
A video of Mike Bost's (bahst) outburst circulated widely on the Internet and briefly raised his political profile. Now the footage has resurfaced as he seeks a congressional seat in southern Illinois that has been in Democratic hands for more than two decades but has grown increasingly conservative.
Bost's challenge to Rep. Bill Enyart is shaping up to be one of the nation's most competitive House races.
Democrats have tried to portray Bost as a loose cannon. But Bost and some supporters say the attention on the video could help his campaign.
