WASHINGTON, D.C. - It was a close call Tuesday afternoon for a Metrorail rider in Northwest D.C. who found himself on the tracks.
His motorized wheelchair to drove off a metro platform and onto the tracks. It's unclear why.
It didn't take long for good samaritans standing nearby to jump down onto the tracks to help rescue him. They pulled the man back up onto the platform.
Firefighters said the man was transported to a Washington, D.C. hospital with a bloody mouth, but he wasn't seriously injured.
