CONCORD - How does the loyal opposition treat Vice President Joe Biden?
Do they lampoon him as tired Uncle Joe like Senator Marco Rubio did earlier this week?
"No one is asked to respond to what Joe Biden says and he says something every day that should be responded to,'' Rubio said.
Do they dismiss him as way over his head in a 2016 showdown with Hillary Clinton?
Greg Moore is state director of the fiscally-conservative, Americans for Prosperity.
"Joe Biden has run for president twice before so there is clear evidence he would like the seat,'' Moore began.
However much like Dan Quayle when he was vice president, unfortunately it seems like the base has moved beyond him and they want a different voice leading the democratic ticket so right now all the energy is behind Hilllary Clinton and Joe Biden is just trying to find a place where he fits in.''
Do they make him the most wanted man incarnate for a President who hasn't stepped foot in the state since 2012?
Right now he's an extension of the Obama administration. When he comes to New Hampshire that's just a reflection that the President won't come, he is still radioactive,'' Moore continued.
Through it all, Biden remains the happy warrior and story-telling VEEP.
"But I am standing here with doctor and I forget the doctor's name and Strom called and asked if you would do a favor for him and I said I would be happy to. What is the favor? I served with him for over 30 years. He said will you do his eulogy,'' Biden said.
The handlers know that after 40 years of playing this game, Joe Biden isn't learning any new moves. So they live with his colorful anecdotes including those that make liberals cringe in his own Democratic Party like insisting the arch conservative Koch Brothers really are good guys.
