Vermont man arrested on driving, drug charges for February car crash in NH
LEBANON – A Vermont man involved in an crash back in February on Route 12A, near Plainfield, has been arrested and extradited to New Hampshire.
On Feb. 26, Lebanon police responded to a single-car accident that had resulted in significant damage to the car. When they arrived on scene, the car was found empty and police also saw footprints leading away from the scene back toward Route 12A.
An investigation resulted in a warrant being issued for Christian West, 23, of Windsor, Vermont.
Police arrested West on May 21 and brought him back to New Hampshire to be charged with misdemeanor conduct after an accident, negligent driving, possession of prescription drugs, transporting drugs with a motor vehicle and felony witness tampering.
West was arraigned Tuesday in Lebanon district court and was released after paying his $5,000 bail.
