Police: Man caught tossing 4 bags of heroin into Lebanon store toilet

LEBANON - A Vermont man was caught by police in a men's room tossing four bags of heroin in the toilet and arrested.

Sean T. Hurd, 26 of Brandon, Vt., was charged with possession of heroin and falsification of physical evidence.

A Lebanon officer was conducting a business check at a local convenience store on Wednesday when he was approached by staff who said three men were acting suspicious in the restroom. The officer made contact with Hurd in the restroom and while speaking to him, Hurd allegedly threw the four bags of heroin in the toilet.

Two other subjects were found outside in a vehicle where drug paraphernalia was located.

Hurd was held on $1,000 cash bail and transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections to be arraigned on Wednesday.
