Verdict expected for NH mother accused of killing 3-year-old Brielle Gage

The Associated Press

NASHUA (AP) — A verdict is expected Monday in the case of a Nashua mother accused of killing her 3-year-old daughter in 2014.

The verdict will conclude the two-week trial of 27-year-old Katlyn Marin, who's charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of her daughter, Brielle Gage. Gage died of blunt-force injuries, and prosecutors say Marin assaulted the toddler several times.

Marin opted for a bench trial, meaning a judge, not a jury, will determine her guilt. Marin did not take the stand during the trial.
