Vehicle tumbles 250 feet off embankment on I-89 in Lebanon

LEBANON - A driver who lost control of his vehicle at an on-ramp for Interstate 89 is unhurt after his vehicle went tumbling 250 feet down an embankment.

State Police say according to witnesses, a 2006 Toyota Tundra was entering I-89 northbound at Exit 17 in Lebanon sometime after 7:30am when the driver accelerated and then lost control of the vehicle. Police say the pickup then went up and over the guardrail, coming to rest at the bottom of the embankment.

Police say the driver was not hurt. Responders had to use an OHRV via a snowmobile trail to reach the vehicle.

Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash.
