UPDATE: Woman has died in Weare paddleboating accident


WEARE - The woman pulled from Everett Lake in Weare yesterday has died.

First responders recovered the body of an adult man following a paddleboarding incident on Everett Lake in Weare Saturday evening.

According to Marine Patrol, a man and woman were on stand-up paddleboards when one of them went into distress. When the first witnesses arrived on scene, the man was alert and trying to save the woman.

First responders pulled the woman to shore and transported her to Concord Hospital; the man never resurfaced.

The dive team from Nashua responded and recovered the body.

Both victims were 59 and lived in Merrimack. Their identities are not being released pending family notification.

The incident remains under investigation.
