MANCHESTER - Drew Morris, 32, of Amherst Street in Manchester, is charged with second-degree murder after an early morning shooting left a man dead.

Police have identified the victim as Raymond Drake, 44, of Manchester.

Morris shot Drake at least three times in the chest area around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, police said.

One witness recalled hearing shots fired before tackling the alleged gunman and then attempting to revive Drake, who was dead when police arrived on scene.

Morris will be arraigned on the murder charge Wednesday morning in Manchester.

An autopsy to determine Drake's cause of death is scheduled for Wednesday.
