Goffstown — The Goffstown School District has put a new plan into place for the school year following the death of kindergarten teacher Wendy Tefft.
Tefft was a kindergarten teacher working at the Glen Lake School within the Goffstown School District since 2010.
Glen Lake School has a paraprofessional and certified elementary teacher to takeover Tefft's classroom as school opens Tuesday.
The school will not be discussing Tefft's death with students, but will instead leave it up to the parents and guardians to address their children if they see fit, according to a message written by the principal of Glen Lake School.
"Support systems have been put in place to help grieving staff and to ensure a successful transition for our students," Superintendent Brian Balke wrote in his message.
The principal of Glen Lake School and the superintendent of the Goffstown School District both released messages to the community. The superintendent's full letter can be read here. The principal's full letter can be read here.
