BEDFORD - A teenager has been left with serious head injuries after a car accident on Interstate 293 Wednesday.
Maxwell Dupont, 19 of Hudson, was in his Honda Civic when he rear ended a T-800 fuel truck heading north on I-293 south of Exit 4 in Bedford.
The driver of the truck, Keith Clegg, 40 of Nashua, had slowed for heavy traffic when Dupont hit him.
The truck was not carrying fuel at the time of the accident.
Clegg was not injured and the fuel truck sustained minor damage, but the Honda suffered heavy front end impact damage leaving Dupont entrapped in the vehicle with a head injury.
Rescue teams extracted Dupont from his car and transported him to Elliot Hospital.
