UPDATE: Tear gas used to force 'despondent' man out of Manchester home

MANCHESTER - A standoff with a despondent man is apparently over after authorities used tear gas to force a "despondent" man out of a Krakow Avenue home.

READ: Officials on scene at Manchester home for possible hazardous situation

Police, fire, and a SWAT team deployed tear gas in an effort to get a "despondent" person out of a home at 24 Krakow Ave., which was described as possible hazardous situation. The unidentified man is now in custody.

Officials said the situation involves a "despondent individual who may have threatened first responders."
