UPDATE: SWAT scene cleared in Manchester, no arrests made; schools off lockdown


MANCHESTER - The scene is clear in Manchester after SWAT officers and the bearcat were deployed following reports of shots fired.

The reports came in the area of 90 Conant St. at about 9 a.m. Thursday morning.

The second-floor apartment was secured and deemed safe at about 11 a.m.

No arrests were made, but police said four people were temporarily taken into custody as a precautionary measure when they exited the three-family home.

Charges aren't expected at the moment, police said.

West High School, Gossler Park Elementary and the Middle School at Parkside were in secure campus protocol during the incident.

The lockdowns have been lifted, police said.
